Royal Highlands Bike Club
March 13, 2025
The monthly meeting of the RH Bike Club was called to order by President Tom Dixon at 4:00 p.m. in the Rec. center meeting room. Seven club members were present.
The minutes from the February meeting were read. Jim Streight moved to accept the minutes as read, seconded by Barb Kowalski. Minutes were accepted.
There were no changes in a report from treasurer Jerry Freisinger; the balance remains at $206.82 in the club treasury and there are currently 13 households with 21 individuals as members. Bob Smith moved to accept this report, seconded by Lynda Streight. Motion passed. Those present discussed removing names from the list of members who have not paid dues since 2023 or been involved in club functions to more accurately report the actual membership numbers. Tom will purge the membership list of those who do not match this qualification.
He then discussed the overnight trip in April to Gainesville, details of which were already sent to club members, and urged those planning to go to make reservations soon for the hotel.
A breakfast ride from Van Fleet trailhead to Webster will be Thursday, March 27, so that we can eat breakfast at the Florida Cracker Feed Lot there.
Tom reported that he has been able to create auto delete of chats after seven days on the What’sApp group chat.

The club website will be cancelled on May 6.
New business discussion included a decision to keep all start times of rides the same for the month of April (8:30 trail rides and 9:00 Saturday rides). Those present also discussed the changes to The Happenings newsletter. It was suggested that the May club meeting be held on the overnight ride in April. This was generally agreed to.
Meeting was adjourned at 5 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Linda Smith, Secretary
